Do your headlights have a foggy-hazy look to them? Maybe you’ve noticed your visibility at night or during the rainy times is much lower (thank you Greensboro weather). No worries, you don’t have to replace them, nor do you have to open up your lens (as many people think the haziness is from the inside of the lens. Most of the time it’s not).
We don’t use a generic headlight repair kit that you find at your local auto parts store. We go through a full 8-step sanding, compounding, polishing, and protection process to offer the best results.
By sanding your headlights, we’re removing the old layer of clear coat that has failed and oxidized (which leads to the yellow-foggy look). Then we’ll compound and polish to bring them back to a like-new condition. Finally, for protection, we’ll apply a 1-year ceramic coating.

Yes, we’re mobile-based so we’d detail the engine bay at your home, apartment, or work location. We service the Greater Greensboro area and surrounding areas like High Point, Jamestown, Kernersville, Lexington, Thomasville, Walburg, Walkertown, Winston Salem, etc…
Like many things, once the headlights get to a certain point, there is only so much we can do to restore them to a like-new condition. Your headlights can look better after we’re done, but there can also be permanent damage.
It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle, but generally speaking between 30 to 60 minutes.
Your headlights, just like your paint, have a clear coat on them. As the suns beats on it week after week, the clear coat starts to deteriorate. Eventually what was the clear coat turns into an ugly yellow layer gunk.
Considering the heat that Greensboro produces, your headlights are exposed to Inconsistent weather- and if you park your car directly in the sun for most of the day, that’s only going to add to the damage. Because of the material of the headlights, the clear coat on them don’t last nearly as much as the clear coat on the paint.
It can be a bit tricky. Typical waxes and sealants will only protect your car for so long. If you park your car in the shade most of the time, then they’ll simply last longer than if you park outside in the sun most of the time.
You can apply a sealant or wax to your headlights every 3 to 5 weeks. This can take less than 15 minutes to do.
